Since the beginning of the Israel-Gaza war, the first civilians from the Gaza Strip have crossed the Rafah border into Egypt.
On Wednesday, hundreds of foreign passport holders made the crossing, and dozens of Palestinians who were severely injured were taken in ambulances.

Days later, Israel declared Erez and Kerem Shalom closed until further notice, making the Rafah border the only way for people to enter and leave the Strip.
Now also Rafah is the only crossing point for humanitarian aid.
