(CNN Spanish) – The Argentine soccer club Boca Juniors announced on Saturday the Uruguayan forward Edinson Cavani as its new reinforcement.

The announcement was made on the team’s social media. First, Boca Juniors published an illustration of a suitcase with a stamp of the Uruguayan flag and a matte bag on one side. And, later, the xeneize club made the reinforcement official through a welcome video for the striker.

The video includes some of Cavani’s best goals for his previous clubs (PSG, Manchester United) and with the Uruguay national team, as well as the welcome message for the player: “Happy to have you home.”

napoli

The Uruguayan striker drew the attention of more clubs thanks to his performance, but he stayed in Italy to be the new striker for Napoli.
Cavani was at Napoli from July 2010 to July 2013.
In those three seasons, the Uruguayan soccer player played 138 games, scored 104 goals and recorded 14 assists.
In the 2012/2013 season, Cavani won the recognition of top scorer in Serie A after scoring goals 29 times.

In July 2013, Cavani made the leap to PSG in France, where he would experience his most winning and scoring period.
The Uruguayan was there for seven seasons until October 2020.
In his seven years with the French club, Cavani made 301 appearances, in which he recorded 200 goals and 43 assists.
He was the top scorer in the French league twice: in the 2016/2017 season with 35 goals and in the 2017/2018 season with 28 goals.
