Laut einer Aussage von MP Motorsport, dem Team des Fahrers, verstarb Dilano van ’t Hoff, ein 18-jähriger Fahrer, als Folge eines Unfalls während der zweiten Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA) race am Saturday in Stavelot, Belgien.

Es wurden keine Einzelheiten über die Ursache des Unfalls preisgegeben.

Ein Statement des Teams lautete: „We are devastated at the loss of one of our brightest Dutch talents, who brought so much energy to our team during the years he raced with us.“

We express our deepest condolences to Dilano’s family and his loved ones, and we are in full support of them and our team members who have lost not only a driver but also a friend.”

Van ‘t Hoff started his career with MP Motorsport in 2021, winning easily the Spanish Formula 4 championship.
